You, Me and the C

Vitamin C products are all the rage right now. And they should be for good reason. Vitamin C is a natural way to brighten and repair damaged skin cells. I recently have been suffering from severe anxiety. I can't seem to get a grasp on the moving parts of my life: postponing our big fat Italian wedding, working full time at a university as an essential medical staff employee and trying to keep the house clean with two hairy dogs during a quarantine. It's a lot to handle at once. And if you're like me you're a little stressed too. Stress and anxiety are two killer ingredients for a crap cocktail towards your skin. Stress dries your body out and keeps you from retaining the natural oils you produce. I noticed my skin was dull and flaky in the morning more often than not. It made me feel pretty drab leaving the house in a hurry to get to work where I knew i would be wearing a mask all day. No one would see my skin but I would know what I looked like and it bothered me. Knowing that you aren't looking your best is a real bummer. It changes your mood and brings the day down. With the wedding pending, I decided to look for something to restore my dry skin to set a path for a better day.
I wanted to get something that would help bring the shine back into my skin. If i could start the day looking refreshed, I would probably fell better throughout the whole day too. By doing some research, I decided I wanted a product with Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid (or HA for short) is a natural substance our body produces throughout our life. When we age, supplies of HA diminish naturally. Replenishing our skin’s reservoir helps maintain a plump, dewy, and healthy condition. HA decreases fine lines and wrinkles to give a more youthful appearance. By using a product with HA & Vitamin C you flood your skin with hydration and help strengthen your natural moisture barrier. Friends, these are all good things.
I dug around the internet and found some pretty expensive options. Being a bride on a budget, I knew I couldn't splurge on something $$$ just yet. So I turned to my trusted Amazon account. I was surprised to find a product in my price range with over 13,000 good reviews! With that much positive feed back and an ingredients list I approved of, I ordered a bottle. True Skin Facial Serum is only $20 so the price was a steal as well. After using it for a week I have noticed that my skin looks smoother in appearance and the pores around my nose do look a bit smaller. What I really love is how it hydrates my skin in the morning. I wake up, wash my face and put a small dropper fills onto my skin. I notice how it gives me a glow and tightens things up. I feel better knowing that I found something good for my skin and it is in my price range. Who says skin care has to be expensive? True Skin also has Vitamin E in its formula which brings natural antioxidants to the party. Score! I'm looking forward to continuing using this product to keep my skin healthy.
