Fresh & Clean Appliances

I don't know about you but I'm neglectful to my appliances. And I use them every day. My microwave, dishwasher, fridge and laundry system. I clean the outside of the stainless steel so it is spotless. And from the surface it looks like we live in a pristine home. On the inside, I won't lie, we clean pretty minimally. We wipe away spills and grime that we can see but we don't really deep clean. (It's the ugly truth, I know, don't judge me). But we want to be better.

We did some research and we came to find we should be deep cleaning once a month. Which makes sense, we use these appliances every day. When Mark and I moved into our home almost 3 years ago, we purchased from an elderly couple. Even though they were selling the home because of the amount of stairs, we could tell that they made an effort to clean their home very frequently. The vents were spotless, the fridge was spotless and the bathrooms were spotless. The floors looked so clean you could eat off of them and there was no real debris to be found anywhere. Which we loved to see as new home buyers. On move in day (which was a disaster for so many other reasons, I'll explain in another post) we noticed that the couple had left some of their cleaning products behind. And let me tell you, she had a ton of them! Bottles and bottles of disinfectant, bleach, vinegar and soaps. It was intimidating. So we rounded up what we were comfortable using and have been restocking our house ever sense.

My point is I know there is a product for everything but how can I make it easy and effective for myself and my partner to keep our things clean? Well we found a simple solution to deep cleaning two appliances!
